Altough it´s a Common/Breeding bird around The Azores, is still one of the rarest birds in Europe.

Lajes and the southern coast of Pico are surely one of best spots in the Azores for bird watching at sea and on land as well.
Azores is the main breeding locatian for roseate terns and has over 50 % of summer population, mainly on Flores, Graciosa and Santa Maria.
ReplyDeleteAlso other Islands have reasonable numbers off breeding pairs, less Sao Miguel where breeding Roseates are very rare.
